My scientific journey

Conny obtained her PhD at CUHK (Hong Kong). After her postdoctoral training at UCL (London) and St Andrews (Fife), she joined the MRC-LMB (Cambridge) as a staff structural biologist. She has collaborated widely and published in multiple fields, including cell division, RNA transcription and protein translation. Since 2024, she has transitioned to data science and now works as a data curator for UniProt at EMBL-EBI (Cambridge).

Her work focuses on bridging structural insights with the broader biological community and translating protein structures into functional understanding.
